KDE 4.1

I am a relative newbie for Linux and even more so for this forum, so I do not know if this is the right way to post a query. I have kubuntu and I have just installed KDE 4.1. I cannot find a way to install plasmoids. I installed (using adept) kdetoys but it did not include kmoon, which was the one I was interested in most. I installed kmoon separately, but I cannot find a way to access it. When I right click on the panle or the plasma I do not get an "Install applet" option. Also, I know that now the concept of a desktop has changed but I understand that you can still show the folders within the desktop in some area of the plasma, but I can figure out how.

 

Can anyone help with suggestions. There must be some silly mistake I am overlooking.

If this is your very first

If this is your very first time using Linux than try to use Ubuntu as its good and more proficient when compared to others. If you are intending to do cheap hosting than I must say that Linux is the best option. It will provide you more facilities and is user friendly too.

minalija tmur right click fuq id desktop u add widgets, u tkun mnizla emmek tal moon. jek ma jkolokx l option "add widgets" afas "unlock widgets" lewwel.Cool

Games Played on Ubuntu 8.10

I am using Ubuntu 8.10 and wine for these last six months as my main workstation at home. I did experience some problems. Some I did solve, others no. I did manage to play warcraft3, Diablo 2 and return to castle woflenstein.

I did so by coping several DLL files. Which is not that Great.

I did manage to run Dark Crusade but the colours are all inverted.

I did work well with the rest stuff, like browsing, programming, office and amsn. They work really well.

I was wondering what experiences you got?
